Hallo! I'm Shannon, a juicy brain from California.
I’m an education leader who believes in democratizing technology through powerful learning and development experiences. Most recently, you'd find me building an education team and launching a global eLearning platform for the MACH Alliance, a tech industry 501(c)6 US nonprofit. And before that? Building incredible AI learning content for customers and partners, as well as managing Documentation and Product Training for Bay Area startup Automation Hero.
My background also includes a 20+ year stint as a public school teacher, making history, literature, writing, and English as a foreign language approachable and engaging.
I’m a huge believer in the power of data and metrics to guide and assess progress in both internal and external L&D initiatives. I've listened to what users want when it comes to messaging, media, and education, and know how to remove roadblocks to accelerate adoption.

Areas of expertise and interest include certification, program management, GTM strategy, poetry, video production, distilling customer needs, turning creative discussions into actionable programs, managing teams to achieve operational excellence, curriculum and content development, identifying and filling gaps, and building cool stuff.
We’re living through an age of particular stress and anxiety. The silver lining is that our communal struggles highlight the importance of all forms of essential health and wellness: mental, social, societal. A common thread in my work with a diverse range of children and adults has been balancing learning with a sensitivity to socio-emotional needs. I am passionate about and committed to integrating throughlines for social justice, anti-bias education, and anti-racist action.

"Everyone knew who she was and the positive impact she had, of course through her excellent work as an educator, but more notably through her 🦄 level influence on team spirit and motivation throughout the organization. This is something you can't hire for as an employer. Some people just are like this, and as an employer you're just lucky when you find them."
